CHAKRAS - ENERGY POWER HOUSES

The word chakra literally means a wheel, vortex or a whirlpool. The seven major chakras are placed along the spine. Chakras are the unseen power supply centers where the body’s life energy is concentrated. They are highly attuned sensors that respond to physical, mental and spiritual health. Physical discomfort, mental or emotional disorders are body’s ways of warning us of depleting energy. Low energy in the chakras means our resistance to stress is weakened. When our energy is weak, we are easily influenced by negative energy patterns, illness and disease.

On the physical level chakras are associated with nerve plexuses and endocrine gland. Endocrine glands are a system of glands that secrete hormones directly into the blood. They are instrumental in regulating growth metabolism, growth, development and mood.

Root Chakra – Adrenal glands

         Naval Chakra – Gonads and Ovaries
         Solar Plexus Chakra – Spleen and Pancreas
         Heart Chakra – Thymus
         Throat Chakra – Thyroid and Parathyroid
     Forehead Chakra or Third Eye – Pituitary gland
     Crown Chakra -  Pineal Gland
